Playing the game
How do I play?
Pick a mode and a distance, then tap THROW! when the sweeping reticle is over your target. The reticle is at its fastest crossing the centre and slowest at the outer edges, so the bullseye is the hardest shot on the board. The full walkthrough is on the How to Play page, and the guides section goes deeper.
Why did my throw not land where the reticle was?
Every throw scatters a little, and how much depends on two things: your distance setting, and how fast the reticle was moving when you released. A release at the fast centre crossing scatters roughly four times as much as one at a slow outer turning point. This is the core skill of the game rather than a bug — timing and release explains the model with the actual numbers.
What are the 2D, 2D+ and 3D views?
Three ways to see the board — flat 2D, a tilted 2D+ perspective, and a full 3D target. Switch at any time, even mid-game, from the toggle at the top of the play screen. Around the Rings stays in 2D / 2D+ because precise ring boundaries matter more in that mode.
Which distance should I play?
It depends on the mode, and the answer is often not the highest. Medium is the best value in Classic and Throwverse Challenge; Score Race rewards pushing to Hard or above; VS AI is easiest at Easy or Medium because the AI gets sharply better as the distance rises. See distances and multipliers.
Accounts and data
Do I need an account?
For saved progress, friends, leaderboards, challenges and Live Throw, yes. You can sign in with email, Google or Apple. An account keeps your stats, friends and rank in sync across devices.
Does it work offline?
Single-player modes do — you can play without a connection and your games sync automatically once you are back online. Live Throw needs a live connection because match state is shared between players in real time.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Delete Account in the app, or use throwverse.com/delete-account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.
Progression and prizes
How do challenges and XP prizes work?
Daily, weekly and monthly challenges rank players by the points they scored during that period. Periods run on Eastern time — the daily resets at midnight ET, the weekly at midnight ET on Monday, the monthly at midnight ET on the 1st. When a period closes, the top three are settled automatically and paid in XP — 100/50/25 for daily, 250/125/70 for weekly and 600/300/150 for monthly. You do not need to claim anything. Full detail in ranks and progression.
What is the difference between levels and ranked tiers?
Your level is simply your lifetime XP divided by 1,000, plus one. Ranked tiers are separate thresholds on the same lifetime total: Bronze from 0, Silver from 2,000, Gold from 6,000, Platinum from 15,000, Diamond from 35,000 and Master from 75,000.
Cost and advertising
Is ThrowVerse free? Are there ads?
ThrowVerse is free to play with nothing to buy, and it is funded by advertising. You will see banner ads and an occasional ad between games. After a game you can optionally watch a rewarded ad to double the XP you just earned — that one is always your choice, and declining it costs you nothing.
There are no purchases in ThrowVerse at all, so no player can buy an advantage over another.
Can I control ad personalisation?
Yes. In the EU and UK we ask for your consent choice before personalised ads are served — Google's UMP form in the mobile apps, and Google's consent message on the web. On Apple devices we also ask for tracking permission; if you decline, ads are non-personalised and no tracking identifier is used for cross-app tracking. You can change your choice later — on iOS via Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and in the EU/UK via the consent prompt. Google-wide ad settings live at adssettings.google.com. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
An ad did not load, or the Double XP reward did not credit
Rewarded XP is verified on our servers before it is granted, and each game can only be doubled once. If an ad failed to load or the reward did not appear, your normal score is unaffected. If it happens repeatedly, email us with your app version and roughly when it happened.
